BioPortfolio.com launches new BioWeb Search Engine and BioWatch

today the launch of its BioWeb Search Engine and BioWatch
Monitoring services. These new services will enhance the delivery
of internet based information to its growing global customer base.
BioPortfolio's
BioWeb Search Engine offers the user the unique opportunity
to search the most comprehensive and targeted index of 2 million
internet pages (including html, pdf, Word, Word Perfect and
PowerPoint files) from 4,500+ biotechnology, pharmaceutical and
life science web sites. The advanced searching and knowledge
management software employed to run the search engine provides the
user with the option to search by keywords, concept phrases or by
suggestions made by the systems proprietary thesaurus.
BioPortfolio's
BioWatch Monitoring Service offers the user the opportunity
to save time and keep abreast of developments as they appear on the
BioWeb Search Engine index. Individuals can define a Personal
Agent, which includes their search concept that has been refined
using the BioWeb Search Engine thesaurus, word relevance and
clustering resources. Every time new information is retrieved from
the 4,500 web sites that meet each Personal Agents search concept,
an email is sent out listing the web pages identified. The system
is highly flexible with the option to update or change the search
concept of each Personal Agent during the subscription period.
The
BioWatch Monitoring Service will provide individuals and Corporates
with the unique ability to maintain a watching brief on a specific
company, product or area of research, without having to re-visit
sites and sift through mountains of non-specific information.
